| Malibu, CA
Just behind the hill where Pepperdine University overlooks the ocean boasts some backcountry territory where M*A*S*H was filmed. Work gave a Columbus Day off so I hung out with good ol' Jim Sunday and Monday in Malibu Creek State Park.
"I'd like a portrait."

Last weekend I had to opportunity to backpack the Lakes Trail withthree other companions who I carefully chose to come with me. With ourphysical build I thought getting to Pear Lake would've been a decent,if not, a moderate challenge for this group.
Turns out, it wasn't an easy task for each one of us. All I'm going to say for now is that we humans need to have a stronger determination and can not succumb to any kind of pressure. A slight hint of discomfort and we normally just far apart. The lesson I learned is that it takes even more than what I originally planned to get to where I want to go. Most of the time, whatever it is that I need is only supplied by God Himself.
Our trip was cut short one day but it was bitter sweet. The views were amazing where we stood, hiked and camped at. Some of the pictures tell the story. The rest are at http://litesky.smugmug.com
